Today's Practice

Franklin Regional Youth Lacrosse is gearing up for our Winter Clinic. We will continue the very well received coaching format from our Fall Clinic that includes our group of highly talented adult coaches supplemented by varsity High School players.  The Winter Clinic runs weekly with the boys starting on Monday January 12 and the girls starting on Wednesday January 14. Both clinics will be held at the Newlonsburg Gym with age groups U7, U9, and U11 meeting from 6:00 till 7:00 and the U13 and U15 meeting from 7:00 till 8:30.  We will finish up at the end of February in time for the spring competitive season.

The cost for the clinic is $60.  Note that FRYLAX will waive its registration fee for low-income families.  Kids that are new to lacrosse may participate for three weeks without paying any registration fees so “they can try before you buy”.  Registration forms can be found under the “Documents” tab on the left side of the FRYLAX webpage (www.frylax.com) or just show up the first few nights of the clinic. We should also have enough gear so kids entering the league can play for the season without you needing to spend several hundred dollars to find your kid doesn’t want to continue in the sport. However, please let me know you will need loaner gear so I can ensure we have enough for everyone.

All participants must be members of US Lacrosse.  The cost for US Lacrosse membership is $25 per year.  Membership provides a number of benefits including information on training and mentoring your child as well as a very generous liability policy.  We will be able to obtain US LAX membership for your child during sign-up but it will cause significant delays in the registration process.  Therefore, we strongly recommend that you obtain a US LAX membership before signups.  The membership page for US LAX can be found at this link:  https://usl.ebiz.uapps.net/PersonifyEbusiness/Default.aspx?TabID=340

I am looking forward to another great season and please contact me with questions at frylaxwebcoordinator@gmail.com.
